This school is horrible. Nothing but problems every year with both of my kids. The school does nothing to stop bullying. They say they do an investigation. B.S. my wife and I have had countless conversations with teachers and staff to help my kids with class work and problems with other kids. With promise of change but never any results. So I feel bad if you have to send your kids there because you can't take them to another school. 4 years I've dealt with this school.
Don't ever send your kids to the PLACE program here! It's awful! I've only had and heard bad experiences. Lots of bullying with nothing being done. My 5 y/o was held down by an 11 y/o while other older kids kicked him and beat him up. Multiple times he's come home with bruises and scratches saying he was bullied. Every time I've brought it up to them they say "well I didn't hear about this" where is the supervision? And after bringing it to their attention 5 times finally I get snappy and now they treat my child like garbage. I've never had a pleasant experience with the director. Very rude 9 out of 10 times they're screaming at the kids very inappropriately. I feel as if my child is singled out here. I have to keep him home during full days because they take his snacks and drinks and won't let him have them. He's always starving when we pick him up. He goes to Sunray elementary and it's wonderful but unfortunately they don't have a before/after school program. He had 2 little smiley face Keychains attached to his book bag and they gave him a hard time and made him take them off for no reason at all. He absolutely hates going here and I hate even going in to pick him up. It's just been an all around awful experience for 5 months. I'm not someone who writes many bad reviews unless it's totally necessary. I'm not a difficult person and I'm very understanding but this place is awful and I highly recommend you stay away and if this doesn't change your mind talk to other parents that have sent their kids here!
"specials" aka electives are very annoying was well. This school has potential, but they're not taking that chance.
Theres vary few good teachers but other than that its terrible for example yesterday i was 15 min late not on purpose ofcouse my husband called and the assistant principal Mrs.ballard had a temper tantrum bc she was late for her hair appointment she was slamming the phone and her pen around in front of my kids saying awful things as well i have no idea how she calls her self a principal after i can in she got up yelled and rolles her eyes when i told her moog rd was closed bc of an accident a kids got hit by a car so she walked away say i cant believe this women
I've never had a problem with this school, but here's one thing, the staff are horrible. The teachers are usually very mean to us kids when I was in 5th grade, and the way they teach is in my opinion, not very efficient. They punish kids and very derogatory ways. The bathrooms are not very clean, and lunch is not my favorite either, the coaches are mean and annoying, and

This school is absolutely terrible. I only gave 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. The staff as a whole act as if they dislike kids, yet chose to be in education. There are a few good teachers that seem to really want to provide quality education to the kids. Not very many left though. If you have ever met the principal you'd understand why so many teachers and staff have left...some years at record rates. The principal is a terrible person, and she's extremely unprofessional. She likes to sweep problems she's forced to deal with under the rug, or try to flip them on the parents or students. The office staff are disorganized. The P.E. is a joke! The first week to 2 weeks each year are sitting around and going over rules. Barely any actual physical activity goes on in that course. One coach that's been there a few years is cool. Pretty much every event this school puts on is disorganized and not worth going to. As many other reviews said... the school does NOTHING ABOUT BULLIES. Guess that NO BULLYING POLICY is just for printing out and not actually following. Again goes back to the principal sweeping problems under her rug.
